Outcasts Anniversary Eyeball

Before I proceed with my article, I wanna share this post first:

If there was one place in GE where I felt most at home, it would have to be the non-PK server formerly known as Carracci. Contrary to what most players would say about the "carebear server", there are tons of benefits in playing in a non-PK world, one of which involves cultivating meaningful friendships unencumbered by the competition aspect of the game.

This is why I feel really blessed to have been previously taken in by the Outcasts Faction, the hardcore PH gamers of the said server. Back then when I moved in, the group was headed by Obviar, and then later on, by †Bayushi†. Now under the leadership of Southernsky, the OC Faction is going stronger than ever.

Elite friendship over elite items. This is the core mantra of the group, and one of the reasons why it remains standing strong and proud to this day. Last October 25, OC celebrated its one year as a faction. Together with the PH members of Destiny, the guys organized an EB of sorts in Chinensis' house to commemorate one year of friendship. The celebration was also held in conjunction with some of OC's birthday celebrants, Chinensis and Device.

Congratulations, Outcasts! Keep the flame burning for PH gamers!

October 25, 2008, the Outcasts Faction celebrated one year of their friendship with a bang. Outcasts Faction started as a small faction with 15 members in 2007. It now houses some of the renowned families in Rembrandt, active in both CW and Raids.

Our celebration started with a rendezvous in Tokyo-tokyo Trinoma. While we were waiting for the others to arrive, we began addressing faction issues. Around 8pm, the members of Destiny (now Destiny_2) arrived and so we decided to move out and take a ride to UP Bliss at Chinensis' Residence.

OUTCASTS FACTION: History Re-written

He who did not greed may cast the first stone...

"We left Renaissance Faction because we believe that it no longer embodies its promise for equality and fairness."

Despite the fact that Renaissance became very influential at some point and having owned a colony in Colony Wars, ignorance of the faction leaders to its members led it to half of its demise. Obviar and †Bayushi† being former deputy leaders of Renaissance led a bunch of nomads in forming a new faction as their new home. It was named OUTCASTS. Behind this name is a deep-sea of meaning. After abandoning their former faction, these players were on solitude - they were alone. They gave up their 10% HP colony buff and their +3 Family Level all because they don't want to fool themselves with what's happening. They were outcasts. Amidst this solitude, the brave were gathered and united thus giving birth to a name that embodied what they were. It was a name with an etched history to serve as a reminder of who they were and with this reminder would they strive and that one day, their name would rise above all and be seen in the Legendary Map of the New World.

Obviar pushed the faction to be more united by conducting a monthly get-together. It was through his efforts that Outcasts Faction members became more than factionmates - they became friends. After a short time of his leadership, Obviar went abroad for his work and passed down the leadership to †Bayushi†. The 2nd faction leader of Outcasts focused on heavy raids and cemented the bonds among the alliance. It was also in this time that the faction experienced rough waves when sensitive issues arose. Hardcore players of WarGodz Faction started to move in with Fortuneshadow on the lead. With this, raiding the Gates of Flame and the gates of Lightning became possible. In order to further go against Royalists Faction, the core group of Outcasts consisting of 30 power players migrated to ALL STARS and thus, leadership was passed down to Southernsky.

Rebuilding the group was not that easy especially when all the pioneers of Outcasts moved out. It took 3 long months before Outcasts name was once again seen in the legendary map of Granado Espada. In the 3rd FL's lead, ties were built and thus, ChronoQuantum and XIII Faction merged with Outcasts. The 3rd utilized his Public Relations skills to further increase manpower and built a new home in the new world known as Rembrandt.

It is now being led by three leaders: Southernsky, jajapunk and RaptorG

The GE Martial Artist Team

August 2008 didn't just mark the beginning of the Olympics, it also ended the long wait of most martial artist fans of GE. To complete their roster of "hard-ass kickers," fanatics instantly got their quest in order to obtain Bai Hu. Martial Artists are known for their attack speed (well except for JP Gascon who is known for his tanking capacity) and are really famous in boss raids and colony breaking.

Here is a guide on how you can obtain all the GE Martial Artists:

I. GRACIELO

STATS:

SIGNATURE STANCE: Chapter of Wind

the first RNPC that you'll encounter is the red haired bully in the Port of Coimbra who would beg you for food. You can start his quest at around level 40 by following this guide:


Quest: I Warrior's path to Humility 1+2
NPC + Location: Gracielo, Port of Coimbra
Reward: Lvl 48 Leg Guard, XP Cards
Difficulty:easy
1. Bring Gracielo in your team and select him to be your leader. Then walk to the highest point in Coimbra.
2. The mission will begin and Gracielo will say he can handle it alone.
3. 3 Thugs will appear and Gracielo has to defeat them.
4. After defeating the thugs Talk to Camille.
5. Go to Reboldoeux and talk to Menendez.
6. You will be teleported to an instance and you have to battle 100 Reboldoeux Soldiers.
7. The soldiers will start in groups of 1, followed by groups of 2, followed by groups of 3, and at the end even groups of 5.
8. Talk to Menedez to complete the quest.
Tips: You are fighting with Gracielo only so before the fight you should stack up on healthpotions. Also use acceleration when the fight start. This way you finish them af much faster. Dont use the skill when you are fighting more then 2 enemies. As you cant spawm pots for 1 or 2 seconds after the skill and this could mean your death.

Quest: I Warrior's path to Humility 3+4+5
[i]NPC + Location: Gracielo, Port of Coimbra
Reward: EXP Card
Difficulty:easy /I]
1. After finishing the above quest follow with this one.
2. Talk to Menendez. He will tell you to challenge the Combat Squad of the Coimbran Guard.
3. Talk to Coimbra's Combat Master. You will be teleported to an instance and have to fight 4 Coimbran Guards & Epoite.
4. After defeating Epoite, who is Camille's brother, he dies.
5. Talk to Camille. You will be teleported to an instance and have to destroy the crates and barrels within the time limit.
6. After this battle travel to the highest point of Coimbra again.
7. You will be teleported to an instance and you will have to fight the 3 Thugs again.
8. After you defeat them 5 Coimbran Guards will appear.
9. Defeat the Guards.
10. Talk to the Substitute Combat Master of Coimbra. You will be teleported. Click on the Tomb of Epoite. Fritz will appear and tells you to go find a hut located at Porto Bello, A Deserted Quay.

Quest: A Warriors path to Understanding
NPC + Location: Gracielo, Port of Coimbra
Reward: EXP Card
Difficulty:easy
1. Click on the Door of the Hut. And talk to Fritz
2. Talk to the Scarecrow and be teleported to an instance, here kill a lot of Cannon Tortoise (lvl 35) after this try to destroy the stone
3. Talk to the Scarecrow and be teleported to an instance, here kill a lot of Grey Wolves (lvl 35) after this try to destroy the stone
4. Talk to the Scarecrow and be teleported to an instance, here defeat a Grizzly Scavenger (lvl40)
5. Destroy the stone
6. Talk to Fritz to complete the quest
Tips: Spam pots where needed. Also buff with chilling touch and meditation if you have an elementalist and scout, before walking on the arrow. These buffs will stay when you really begin the quest.

Quest: A Warriors path to Strength
NPC + Location: Gracielo, Port of Coimbra
Reward: EXP Card + Skillbook: Chapter of Wind
Difficulty:difficult
1. Finish the above quest
2. Talk to Las Casas near the warp point in port the Coimbra
3. Defeat Las Casas.
4. Travel to stone pit and talk to Reen
5. Defeat Reen
6. Travel to ferruccio junction and talk to the worker near (north of) the statue
7. Defeat Selden
8. Travel to Deserted Quay and talk to the door again
9 After the conversation you have finished the quest
Tips: Spam pots where needed. Als buff with chilling touch and meditation if you have an elementalist ans scout, before walking on the arrow. These buffs will stay when you really begin the quest. Then buff with acceleration and mithridart to get extra speed and power. Now with all the battles spam pots and use your skill to knock them back. Maybe buy some sp pots for skills spamming. The fights are irritating but not that bad.




II. JEAN PIERE GASCON

and then you have this detective in the City of Auch whose physique is not to be ignored. His quest could be done alongside with the Catherine quest:

III. IRAWAN

going back to the Port of Coimbra is the first cash shop RNPC named Irawan, a Muai Thai fighter. Here is the quest to get him:

Reward: Irawan card
Difficulty: easy or difficult
1. Talk to Irawan on right of the Leonardo express in Port de Coimbra.
2. Give Irawan 1000 Vis. You will be teleported into an instance where Irawan defeats all the thugs
3. Talk to Irawan again and give him 10 soul crystals
4. Talk to Irawan again and you will be teleported to an instance sequence.
5. After the sequence Irawan asks for 10 truimph fillers and 10 Hrin’s Potions
6. After this you will be taken through a sequence again and Iriwan will offer you his card
7. Talk to Irawan to complete the quest.




IV. FENG LING

you can find FengLing in the Port of Bahia. The description given by IAH to this character is:

Feng Ling will be able to freeze enemies quite often due to her combination of having a high AGI which results in her having a very fast attack speed. In addition, her skill ‘Ice Soul Attack’, is a self buff for her which allows her to have 15% chance to freeze enemies for a certain period of time. She is also able to use Gaiters, Knuckles and Leather Armor.

QUEST: Feng Ling's Char Card

1. Talk to Feng Ling in the Port of Bahia and do some battle with her.
2. Give Feng Ling 50 Mystery Powder.




V. BAI HU

Bai Hu is yet the last of the Martial Artists. He was tricked to believe that Montoro is Master Fritz. With this, Montoro used Bai Hu to bring down the whole Brestian Army to his Advantage. After learning the truth about this, Bai Hu swore to bring peace in the World of Granado Espada in search for the real Master Fritz.

QUEST: Bai Hu Character Card

1. Talk to Bai Hu and you'll get into a fight scene. You will be defeated in this fight.
2. Talk to Bai Hu again and he asks you to talk to all Martial Artists in these following order: Jean, Feng Ling, Irawan, Gracielo.
3. After this, talk to Bai Hu again and you will be in an instance where he gets to fight all the four Martial Artists and defeats them all.
4. Then he asks you to give him 50 Mystery Powders


VI. † TIPS ON CHOOSING YOUR MARTIAL ARTIST LINE UP †

-Feng Ling has the fastest attack speed among all martial artists. In addition to that, she induces frost bite wherein she immobilizes the enemy for 10 secs. With her agility, 10 secs would be enough to kill a player with her normal attack. However, she suffers from very low damage due to her low STR

-Irawan has perhaps the highest attack among them. However, compared with Feng Ling and Gracielo, he is not that fast when it comes to attack. chances are to equip Irawan a stunning knuckle or gaiter in order for him to fair really well in PVP

-Jean has perhaps the highest HP among all martial artists. He is ideal for tanking. But with a low AGI, it makes him more like an Elem in terms of attack speed rather than a Martial Artist. If you are after DPS, Jean is not the right character for you. He doesnt have a multiple hit move either.

-Gracielo is perhaps the one with highest evasion. His evasion can soar up to 70+ if equipped with the right stuff. It makes him almost invincible to close combat attacks. However, since he is only limited to gaiters and these gaiters have armor penalty... It's most often than he cant kill anyone except elems and muskies.

-Bai Hu is perhaps the most balanced Martial Artist there is. A decent level of STR coupled with a decent level of AGI fairs well in PVP and PVM. However, due to his high economic value, most are discouraged to do his quest.




VII. SOME FINAL WORDS:

in choosing your martial artists, think of only one thing: WHERE WILL I USE THEM? There is always a martial artist that fits every situation there is, in the world called... Granado Espada

TOP 5 REASONS WHY GE IS THE NO. 1 MMORPG

5. GE has good ingame and real life events

-but prizes are, most often that not, delayed if they are ingame prizes. If it hasn't been for Sigrid ranting about our faction prizes, I'm doubting if we have got them now. But in all fairness, I'm thanking [RCM] Hrin and [pCM] Veya for the prizes converted to 25K gpoints. At least that is a good compensation.

4. GE has an excellent gameplay
-but tarnished with a lot of bugs. Last week, the squad option was disabled. When they were able to fix that one up, here comes the faction chat bug. We missed our Gate of Fire faction event due to this buga nd we have to reschedule it for another time coz of that. And then some factions lost some colonies so map was in to another reset.

3. GE is free to play
-but you have to pay for a lot of premium items in order for you to be able to cope up with the games - and the worst thing is that you cannot buy a Php100 GVC here in the Philippines. Apart from that, there was even an issue last month that PINS are defective so they have to be returned to the retailer. You may want to check all dealers listed in pCM Veya's community blog BUT i doubt if you could find a Php100 GVC.

2. GE has a 24/7 online customer support system

-but you would be disheartened when you receive a response from them posting a standard, or even passe, spiel that I have read maybe 10 or 15 times. Can't they adjust their service level agreement in a span convenient to players?

1. GE houses competitive IAH staff

-but these staff are competitive only to themselves that they tend to disregard players, uhh.. did i just say players? or should i say customers? i remembered Bayushi's case that they closed his thread three (3) times. Who knows, they might be fed up hearing what they have been doing. And oh!! we have to pay this and that and that and this in order for us to be helped. Now that is what you literally call SOLICITED help.


And yes!! Those are the Top 5 reasons why Granado Espada is the No. 1 game that you are most likely to quit compared to other MMORPG.
